Joulufiilistelyä :)

Kuvassa osa tekemistäni adventtiswappi paketeista. Suurin osa kuvassa näkyvistä kelta-valkoisista paketeista on jo saavuttanut vastaajansa Suomessa ja ulkomailla. Vielä joku postitus on odottamassa. Oikeanpuolimmaiset pikkupaketit menevät jakoon ensi torstaina, 26.11.2015.

Some of my Advent swap parcels are seen on the photo.

Most of the yellow and white parcels have already achieved their destination in Finland or abroad. There is still a few parcels waiting for mailing. The Little parcels on the right will be delivered next Thursday, the 26th of November.

Tampereen kädentaitomessuilla. At the Handicrafts Fair in Tampere.

Viikonloppuna vierailimme sisareni perheen luona ja kävimme samalla Tampereen kädentaitomessuilla! Siellä oli myyjiä ihan valtavasti, taidokkaasti tehtyjä tuotteita, askartelumateriaaleja ja kävijöitä ruuhkaksi asti (yli 44000 kävijää viikonlopun aikana): Joillekin pöydille ei näkynyt mitään ihmismuurin takaa! 

Mutta yllättäen löysin jotain miniasioita:

Jääkiekkoluistimet Maria Malmströmin pöydästä, Modernin Elina Mäntylän suunnitteleman Himmelin ja Nalle Pooh -kirjan Minnan Minit pöydältä. valitettavasti lankojen ja lehden tekijän nimi katosi minulta!

Tuohikorin tekijää en edes tavannut, mieheni oli sen ostanut minulle :)

Last weekend we visited my sisters family and also The Handicrafts Fair in Tampere. There was a huge number of sellers, very skillfully made handicrafts, lots of items and ideas for crafting and so many visitors that I could not see all the tables/sellers! (over 44000 visitors during the weekend)

But for my happy surprise I found some miniatures:

The IceHockey skates from Maria Malmström. A modern mobile decoration designed by Elina Mäntylä, and Winnie the Pooh book from Minnan Minit.

I am so sorry I lost the name of the person who has made the magazine and skeins! And I didn't meet the person who made the birch bark basket, my husband had bought it for me :)

Viime viikolla eräänä päivänä... Last week on one day...

Eräänä päivänä viime viikolla, teimme ystäväni Leenan kanssa 

mini Kalevala -kirjat. Kalevala on Suomen kansalliseepos ja se perustuu Elias Lönnrotin (1802 - 1884) keräämiin suomalais - karjalaisiin kansanrunoihin. 

Kun olin nuori ja vielä koululainen, luimme Kalevalan kaikki runot äidinkielen tunnilla. Tässä minikirjassa on kaksi ensimmäistä runoa.

Monet kuuluisat taiteilijat ovat kuvittaneet Kalevalaa. Mini Kalevalasta löytyy Akseli Gallen-Kallelan kuvitus.

One day last week, we made The mini Kalevala -books with my friend Leena.

The Kalevala is the national epic of Finland. It is based on the  Karelian and Finnish folklore poems collected by Elias Lönnrot (1802 -1884)

When I was young and still a schoolgirl, we read all the poems of the Kalevala at school during the native language classes.

 This Mini -Kalevala has two first poems.

Many artists have been inspired by Kalevala's poems and have made illustrations for the books. This mini Kalevala is illustrated by  

Akseli Gallen -Kallela

Perjantaina 16.10. lähdimme kohti Helsinki-Vantaa. Yövyimme sukulaisten luona. Lauantaina sitten vierailimme Suuri Snadi -tapahtumassa:

On Friday the 16th of October we took a flight to Helsinki-Vantaa. Stayed the night at the home of our relatives and on Saturday visited the Fair: Suuri Snadi show in Vantaa:

Ostosten jälkeen osallistuin Angie Scarrin työpajaan, missä tehtiin kaaleja uunissa kovetettavista massoista.

After shopping I took part into Angie Scarr's workshop, where we made Cabbages and Cauliflowers of oven hardening Modelling clay!

Tavaratalossa rakennustyöt jatkuvat. The constraction works continue at the Departmentstore.

Nyt on vuorossa ylin kerros.

Now it is time to fix the top floor.

Tässä vaiheessa mietin vitriinien korkeutta ja kaikkea sitä mitä kauppaan tulee...

At this moment I am thinking about the hight where to put the vitrines and wondering also what is included into the shop...

Starbucks kahvila, Lelukauppa ja Joulukauppa ovat Tavaratalon alakerroksissa.

The Starbucks cafe, The ToyStore and the Christmas shop are situated in lower lewels.

Teen myös ahkerasti miniatyyrejä joihinkin adventtikalenteri swappeihin. Niitä salaisuuksia ei voi paljastaa ennen joulukuuta.

Ruskamatka pohjoiseen. A trip to see some Autumn colors in the North.

Ajoimme Leville kolmeksi yöksi pienelle lomalle syksyn värejä katsomaan. Vettä satoi joka päivä, joten värit jäivät paikoitellen aika vaaleiksi. Mutta kaunista oli ja niin rauhallista.

We drove to Levi for three nights to look for the autumn colors. It rained every day so the colors didn't "shine" and they come out quite light in some places. But the nature was beautiful and so peaceful.

Joulukauppa. The Christmas shop.

Tavaratalon Joulukauppa alkaa pikkuhiljaa valmistua. 

The Christmas shop is getting finished little by little. 

Kaupasta löytyy ystäviltä saatuja, itse tehtyjä ja ostettuja joulutavaroita.

Kylläpä niitä olikin kertynyt paljon ja kaikki eivät edes mahtuneet kauppaan...

There are Christmas items which I have got from Friends, also some selfmade items and bought ones. There were so many Christmas items that they all didn't fit into the shop...

Keskellä lattiaa on läpinäkyviä lipastoja askartelutavaroita varten. 

Lipastojen avuksi tulee pöytä.

The ToyStore is situated just above the Starbucks Cafe.

The entrance to the ToyStore is from the back of the Department store.

The shelves are made by Ykäsen Products.
