Joulutaulunäyttely Art-galleriassa. Christmas theme exhibition at the Art-gallery

Vanhan Vesilaitoksen taidegalleriassa on avattu uusi näyttely. Teokset gallerian seinillä ovat perinteisiä Joulutauluja tonttuineen Lars Carlsonin maalaamana. Tontuilla on kaikissa tauluissa iloiset ilmeet ja paljon tekemistä. Varmaan melkein jokaisessa suomalaisessa kodissa on muutama vuosikymmen sitten ollut näitä  nostalgisia ja kauniita joulutauluja seinillä.

The Art-gallery of Vanha Vesilaitos has a new exhibition. Works at the gallery walls are the traditional Christmas"paintings" with elves by Lars Carlson. All the elves have happy faces, and a lot of things to do. A few decades ago probably almost every Finnish home had some of these these nostalgic and beautiful Christmas paintings on the walls.

 Pieni tyttö on vanhempiensa kanssa tullut katsomaan näyttelyä. Hän haluaisi kotiinkin tuollaisen tonttutaulun seinälle :)

The little girl has come to see the exhibition with her parents. She would like to get one of these elfpaintings also on the wall of their home :)

Hattuja & Akvaario. Hats & the Acuario

Nämä hatut olen tehnyt vanhasta nahkakäsineestä. Toista käsinettä en ollut löytynyt enää moneen vuoteen.

Ohjeen tähän hattu-tuunaukseen löysin jostain blogista, mutta valitettavasti en nyt löytänyt sitä enää...

Yhdestä käsineestä sain viisi erikokoista hattua. Jokaisen sormen päästä leikkasin hatun kupuosan. Liimasin sen hansikkaan varsiosasta leikkaamani soikion keskelle. Odotin kuivumisen. Terävillä saksilla leikkasin pään reiän auki keskeltä. Tarvittaessa vielä muotoilin lieriä vähän ja hattu on valmis. 

Liisa ja Ilmari löysivät molemmat itselleen lierihatut.

I've made these hats of an old leather glove. The other glove had gone missing several years ago. I found the tutorial for this hat-tuning from some blog, but unfortunately I didn't find it again..From one glove got five different sized hats. I did cut each fingertip to make the hat dome section. Then glued them on the leather ovals which were cut from the stem portion of the glove. Did let them dry.  With sharp scissors I cut a head hole open in the middle. Also shaped the brims a little and hats were ready.

 Both Liisa and Ilmari found themselves hats.

Akvaarion tekeminen on ollut haaveissani jo kauan. Nyt sitten kun tein sen, vesiainetta oli ehkä vähän liian niukasti.. Akvaariolaatikkona on tuollainen vähän "isompi" akryylirasia. Siihen on myös kansi. Pohjalle liimasin pieniä simpukoita ja kiviä. Lisäsin muutamia vesikasveja ja tein kaloja :) Valollekin on paikka.

Making the aquarium has been my dream already for a long time. Now when I did it,  perhaps I had a bit too little of the water agent .. As the box for the aquarium is such a little "bigger" acrylic box. A cover is also included on it.. At the bottom I glued tiny shells and stones. Also added a few water plants and made some fish :) There is also place for the light.

Niinpä! Moottorikelkka piti ostaa ja heti piti kokeilla!

O' yes!  He bought a snowmobile and had to try it right away!

Ei malttanut edes laittaa takkia ja lakkia päälleen! Taitaa paleltua! ;)

Did not even have time put on a jacket and a cap! 

I think he is going to freeze! ;)

Tänään tuli postissa Tuikulta Adventtikalenteri -swappipaketit :) Kiitos Tuikku! Paketit näyttävät niin houkuttelevan ihanilta, että miten sitä malttaa odottaa vielä monta monta yötä ennenkuin ne saa aukaista  ;)

There were Advent-swap parkages in the mail today :) Thank you Tuikku! The packages look so adorable that it will ask me some patience to wait for many many nights before The Days come to open them ;)

Today, I got  finished my Advent-swap parcels/ our Miniature Club. 

There are seven of us taking part into this swap. 

The parcels are now waiting for a couple of weeks before they shall be shared.
